             VTAFCS Annual Meeting -  Barre, VT
            Moving Beyond Poverty:  Moving Into Action

             This daylong meeting takes place at two sites in Barre but it is not your average Annual Meeting.  Be prepared to wear your jeans, roll up you sleeves and Move Into Action. 

            Join us in the morning to visit and work our way through the Vermont Food Bank in Barre.  We will rotate through 3 stations: work in the rescue kitchen, view a video, as well as sort food.  The morning activities will help you will gain an understanding of poverty and hunger in our state as well as how the Vermont Food Bank serves the needs of Vermonters.

            The afternoon will be spent at the Barre Labor Hall. Lunch will be “Soup Kitchen” style. (prepared and served by the students of NECI as part of their community service) After lunch we will take time to process the morning events.  Our usual business meeting will end the day.

            Please join us, on March 27th, for a first hand experience of the realities of hunger in Vermont.  Be on the lookout for the brochure and registration materials to arrive soon.
