Event Schedule, 8:30-9:30 Registration 9:30-11:00 Middle School competition—food preparation 11:00-12:30 Middle School cleanup , judging & awards 11:30-12:30 High School registration 12:30-2:00 High School competition—food preparation 2:00-3:30 High School cleanup, judging & awards There will be a “get to know your farmers” market, food vendors, entertainment, and children’s activities throughout the day. II. Teams Each team is composed of 3-5 youth and 1-2 adults. Middle School teams are to be composed of any combination of 6-8th graders and High School teams are to be composed of any combination of 9-12th graders. Each team MUST be accompanied by parent/guardian or school employee. Each team is also allowed to have a cooking coach, who could be the parent/guardian/school employee, or an additional adult, i.e. local chef, Food Service staff, teacher, etc. No adults are allowed to cook with the students during the competition, but the coach may provide guidance in cooking techniques and safety. III.Entry Fee The entry fee is $100 per team. Make checks payable to VT FEED/Shelburne Farms. A limited number of scholarships are available.
